Projects & Delivery
Task vs Note Mode in Project Updates
Learn when to create an actionable deliverable task versus logging a contextual studio note or client preference.
Cluttering your Kanban board with minor reminders or meeting notes dilutes your focus. Flanceflow provides distinct Task and Note modes so you can separate actionable deliverables from contextual project documentation.
Using Task vs Note mode
- Inside any project workspace, locate the quick composer bar above the Kanban board.
- Toggle the mode selector between "Task" and "Note".
- Use Task Mode when you need an actionable item with a deadline, assignee, and completion status.
- Use Note Mode when capturing meeting minutes, client feedback quotes, brand hex codes, or reference links.
- Notes appear in the project "Notes & Documentation" drawer on the right sidebar, keeping your Kanban board clean.
- You can convert any Note into a Task with one click by clicking the three dots on the note and selecting "Convert to Task".
Task mode vs note mode comparison
| Feature | Task Mode | Note Mode | Recommended use case |
