Data Privacy & Security Overview
Review Flanceflow’s security infrastructure, end-to-end TLS encryption, Firestore multi-tenant security rules, and zero-model-training privacy guarantees.
Freelancers and independent studios handle sensitive financial records, proprietary client assets, and confidential contract terms. Flanceflow is built from the ground up on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure to ensure your data remains encrypted, strictly isolated, and completely confidential at all times.
Key security protections in Flanceflow
- Encryption in Transit: All data transferred between your browser, client portals, and Flanceflow servers is encrypted using modern TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols with HSTS enforcement.
- Encryption at Rest: All database records, uploaded client files, and system logs are stored with AES-256 military-grade encryption within Google Cloud and Firebase facilities.
- Tenant Isolation: Every database query is governed by server-authoritative Firestore Security Rules, ensuring workspace data can only ever be accessed by verified members with appropriate permissions.
- Zero AI Model Training: None of your client data, financial invoices, or private notes are ever shared with third parties or used to train public machine learning or LLM models.
- Payment Security: Flanceflow never stores raw credit card or debit card numbers on our servers. Subscription transactions are handled directly through Paddle.
- Automated Backups: Daily automated database snapshots are captured across redundant geographic availability zones to prevent data loss.
Security architecture breakdown
| Security layer | Technology utilized | Standard met | Protection provided |
|---|---|---|---|
| Network Security | TLS 1.3 / HTTPS / HSTS | Qualys SSL A+ Rating | Prevents packet interception and man-in-the-middle attacks |
| Database Storage | Google Cloud Firestore | SOC 1/2/3, ISO 27001, HIPAA compliant | Encrypted at rest with automatic geographic redundancy |
| Access Control | Firebase Auth + Security Rules | Strict Least-Privilege RBAC | Guarantees cross-workspace and cross-user data isolation |
| Payment Processing | Paddle integration | Provider-managed payment security | Zero cardholder data stored on Flanceflow application servers |
Recommended account security practices
- Strong password hygiene: Use a dedicated, complex password or sign in with Google OAuth secured by multi-factor authentication (2FA).
- Session management: If you work on shared or coworking computers, always click "Log Out" in the user dropdown when finishing your work session.
- Review workspace roles: Keep permissions tight by assigning team members "Editor" or "Viewer" roles rather than granting full "Admin" privileges unless necessary.
