Invoicing

Creating an Invoice

Draft, itemize, and issue client-ready tax invoices with automatic numbering, tax calculations, dual currency conversion, and direct payment links.

Invoicing shouldn’t require wrestling with clunky accounting software or brittle spreadsheet templates. Flanceflow provides a lightning-fast Invoice Editor tailored specifically for independent professionals, agencies, and consultants.

How to create a new invoice

  1. Click "Invoices" in the left sidebar navigation, or use the topbar "+ New" shortcut and select "New Invoice".
  2. Select your client from the "Billed To" dropdown (or type to add a new client on the fly).
  3. The invoice number will automatically increment (e.g. `INV-2026-0012`), and the issue date defaults to today.
  4. Set the Payment Due Date (choose from Net 7, Net 15, Net 30, Due on Receipt, or a custom calendar date).
  5. Add your line items: select pre-saved service packages from your catalog or enter custom scopes and deliverables.
  6. Apply taxes (like GST or VAT) and optional percentage or flat discount amounts if agreed upon.
  7. Review your payment instructions, notes, and terms at the bottom of the invoice.
  8. Click "Save Draft" to review, or click "Send Invoice" to dispatch directly via email or generate a public share link.

Invoicing tips for fast payment

  • Sequential numbering: Flanceflow maintains continuous, gapless invoice sequences to satisfy domestic tax audit standards.
  • Dual-currency locking: When invoicing in USD or INR, the exchange rate is permanently captured on the invoice so future currency fluctuations never distort accounting balances.
  • Direct payment links: Invoices sent via Flanceflow include an interactive "Pay Invoice" button linking clients to Stripe, PayPal, or UPI directly.
