Editing & Archiving Services

Update pricing tiers, retire legacy offerings without breaking historical invoices, and organize your freelance catalog.

As your freelance business matures, your rates will rise and certain introductory packages will be phased out. Flanceflow lets you update your service catalog gracefully without altering past contracts or finalized invoices.

How to update or retire a service

  1. Navigate to the Services catalog in your left sidebar.
  2. To edit pricing or descriptions: Hover over any service and click the pencil "Edit" icon. Modify rates or copy, then click "Update Service".
  3. To retire an outdated service: Click the three-dots action menu on the service card and select "Archive Service".
  4. The service will immediately move to the Archived tab, removing it from new invoice autocomplete menus.
  5. To reactivate an archived service later, click the "Archived" tab at the top of the page, click the menu, and select "Unarchive".

Catalog maintenance tips

  • Annual rate increases: Update your service catalog rates every January. Flanceflow will use the new higher rates for all new project scopes automatically.
  • Seasonal offerings: Archive seasonal services (like "Black Friday Website Audit") when out of season and unarchive them when marketing campaigns kick off.
  • Service usage counts: Check the "Used on X projects" badge on each service card to see which offerings are your most popular revenue generators.
